I left my words behind
Wrapped in a layer of my mind.
Leaving them left me insane.
My thoughts became a dreary rain.
I left my words to be with you.
To hear you call me “Roo.”
Even though you left me,
Never did my words leave me be.
They crawled back to me
Through a mud filled sea.
My words just accepted me leaving
They offered no mourning.
My words simply reminded me they were mine
And that they would never leave me behind.
My words,
They didn’t need to be heard.
I needed them to be left unsaid
Only that they return to my head.
My words,
They came back.
My words,
They came back.
